Childfree Living

When you have focused for so long on trying to conceive a child, ending your pursuit may evoke feelings of grief or loss. Deciding to end treatment is a valiant and respectable choice that takes deep soul-searching and commitment.

Often there is personal guilt and shame when couples let go of their long-time goal. Sometimes those you confide in will not understand and can be insensitive, adding to these negative feelings. The decision to live childfree is a personal one -- one that can only be made by you and your partner.

Making the decision to end your fertility treatment can be empowering. Once the door closes on infertility, many couples find another door opens into a world of excitement and opportunity. Couples now have the chance to set new goals and explore other dreams and aspirations that have been put on hold while waiting to conceive.
